For the more adventurous spirit, just five minutes up the road at the Cloverdale Airport is the home of NorCal Skydiving. Mendocino County offers a bounty of absolutely spectacular scenery. Not to be missed is a drive up the coastline, a rugged road laden with expansive views of the Pacific Ocean. Head 65 miles northwest from Cloverdale along the scenic Alexander Valley road to the town of Mendocino, which has a number of notable restaurants, shops, and galleries to explore. For the more laid-back traveler, just 45 minutes northwest of the inn, discover Lake County. Dotted with vineyards and wineries, orchards, and farm stands, and charming small towns, Lake County is home to Clear Lake, California’s largest natural freshwater lake. Known as "The Bass Capital of the West," and for Mt. Konocti, which towers over Clear Lake, there are more than 100 miles of shoreline to explore.
